Information about the site in English

WWW.LENTOPAIKAT.NET is a non-official site, that presents non-controlled airfields of Finland. The purpose of the site is especially to help civil aviators to find more concretized information about airfields than provided by Finavia.

Finavia, the company that maintains official Finnish airports and airfields, provides a comprehensive service for VFR-pilots called VFR Finland. The service can be found in http://www.finavia.fi/ais/vfr/ and it provides lots of knowledge about VFR flying in Finland including regulations, airfields, charts and notams. If you are interested in flying VFR in Finland, you should check that site. WWW.LENTOPAIKAT.NET is maintained only in Finnish and there are no plans to create the English version.

The photos and the pictures on the site are copyrighted and they may not be used in public without a permission from the owner. The permission to publish the photos on the site is received from photographers.

I hope you can find some useful information about Finnish airfields on this site. If you are a civil aviator, I also welcome you to visit Finland and see our thousands of lakes and huge forests by air.
